Triple Jay Safaris Terms and Conditions of Booking
Reservation and payment:
All tour prices are quoted in US Dollars.
We accept payment
by bank transfers.
Nb: In case of cash payment, we accept other currencies
[Euros, sterling pounds or Kenya shillings] and at
the exchange rate prevailing at the time of payment.
- A deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking
- The balance must be paid not less then 30 days
prior to the commencement of the tour.
- In cases where the bookings are made less then
30 days before the commencement of the tour, full
payment must be made.
The company reserves the right to cancel the booking
if payment is not received in accordance with these
terms.
Hotel
Bookings & Cancellation Policies
- Any monies
paid will be refunded on early cancellation, less
the cost of cancellation fees levied by hotels or
lodges
- Bookings cancelled
or reduced in length of stay or reduced in number
of occupancy are subject to cancellation and no
show fees as follows:
- Before
60 days – US$ 40 admission fees.
- 30 - 60
days - 40 % of the tour price
- 15 - 29
days – 60 % of the tour price
- 8- 14
days - 75% of the tour price
- Under
7 days and no shows - 100% of the tour cost
In
all cases, a notification of cancellation MUST be
put in writing to Triple Jay safaris.
The tour price:
This is inclusive of all transportation according
to the itinerary, accommodation, meals daily while
on safari, entrance fees to National Parks and Game
Reserves, drivers allowance, toll charges. Unless
stated otherwise.
Tour prices do
not include visa fees, local departure taxes, and
any excess baggage charges, sleeping bags while camping,
tipping and items of personal nature for example drinks
laundry and telephone calls.
Prices are based on tariffs and costs
prevailing at the time of printing and are subject
to change without notice.
Climbing Equipment: Gear for mountain
climbing is not included in the tour cost but can
be hired at Nanyuki, Naro Moru and Chogoria for Mt.
Kenya and at Arusha, Moshi or the Marangu park Gate
for Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Transportation: Saloon cars, minibuses,
landcruisers, Landrovers, coaches or trucks will be
provided according to the route and the number of
clients and the services of professional, English
speaking driver/ guides. We reserve the right to use
the services of sub- contractors for all or part of
the services.
Accomodation: The standard pricing
policy is based on a twin room/tent being shared by
two people. A single room/tent will be provided on
request at a supplementary cost but cannot be guaranteed.
Passports,
visas
and health
You require a
passport valid for at least the duration of your trip.
Travellers are
responsible for ensuring they have the correct visas
and documents [we recommend you check with the appropriate
embassy or consulate]. Malaria is endemic in some
parts of Africa and precautions must be taken. It
is recommended you visit your primary physician or
local travel clinic to review any medications or recommended
inoculations. Be sure to carry your inoculation certificate
with you as proof of inoculations. If you are concerned
about taking any medications, check with your physician
before you book your trip
Tours Alterations
The Company ensures
to adhere with the program as arranged, however, it
reserves the right to alter the arrangements or cancel
the itinerary if serious need arises. Such cases may
be caused by airline cancellation, hotel problems,
political tension, weather i.e rainfall on game areas,
tracks, airstrips or any other bookings problem that
affects the program. The company also reserves the
right to decline to accept or retain any person as
a member of the tour at any time, in which case an
equitable amount will be refunded
Liability
- All bookings are accepted on the specific condition
that Triple Jay Safaris and its agents act only
as agents for the passenger in all matters relating
to hotel/lodge accommodation, tours and transport
and that they shall not be liable for any injury,
delay, loss, accident or damage arising from any
cause and in any manner.
- The company reserves the right to employ subcontractors
to carry out all or part of the services agreed
to be supplied.
- Triple Jay Safaris accepts no responsibility for
losses or additional expenses due to delays or changes
in air or other services, sickness, war, strife,
civil disturbances, sickness, quarantine or other
causes. All such losses and expenses will have to
be borne by the passenger.
- Whilst every care is taken, the company accepts
no liability whatsoever for the theft, loss or damage
to the Client's baggage howsoever caused. Thus we
strongly advise baggage insurance.
Risks:
Triple Jay safaris draws your attention to the fact
that there are certain inherent dangers involved with
adventure travel, and by booking a safari tour with
us signifies your acceptance to travel at your own
risk. It is however advisable to take health and travel
insurance and a separate baggage loss before arrival
to East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda). We also
recommend our clients to take flying Doctors emergency
evacuation cover available upon request.
